United Industry Issue-Related Plan
Background:
The Unified Industry R&D Thematic Plan (hereinafter – EOTP) is a unified industry list of R&D for the implementation of ROSATOM's science and technology policy and achievement of technology excellence.
Goals and tasks:
- the achievement of/increase in the effectiveness and efficiency of research and development for further creation of new products, the preparation for further commercialization of the results achieved;
- the achievement of excellence in the basic technical characteristics of the developed product/technology over the best world equivalents, the increase of export capacities of the nuclear industry;
- the development of promising areas of science and technology development of ROSATOM (PASTD), and the achievement of results in exploratory research, also outside PASTD;
- national security.
EOTP is formed in accordance with the criteria of achieving excellence in the basic technical characteristic of the developed product/technology over the existing equivalents, export capacities, national security, and taking into account the benchmarking, patent search, analysis of technology readiness levels, and the principle of reducing the time of scientific development.
Classification of EOTP projects:
Exploratory R&D. Research and development to obtain new knowledge, implemented within/outside PASTD as recommended by Academic Advisors.
Technical proposals. Projects at the stage of analytical work, development and justification of the concept of implementation of R&D with the achievement of Technology Readiness Level TRL 2 Step 1 maximum.
Applied R&D. Research and development, engineering and design to address particular engineering problems. Technology readiness level TRL 6.

Interaction with research organizations
A systematic interaction on a regular basis with the below research organizations has been established:
- Research institutes affiliated to JSC "Science and Innovations";
- Research institutes of ROSATOM outside Science Division;
- RAS institutes, Kurchatov Institute, higher educational institutions;
